Forget-Me-Not Granny Square

“Earth laughs in flowers” – said Ralph Waldo Emerson, and he was right, life without flowers would be dull and meaningless. They not only bring joy and happiness but also cheer up regardless of the circumstances. I guess that those characteristic tiny blue flowers with a tinge yellow in the centre are well known to most of us. In the olden days, forget-me-nots were quite popular and omnipresent in most gardens. Unfortunately, at present, they are rather hard to find and often unappreciated. Whenever I see them growing somewhere, their sight brings back some pleasant memories as my grandmother always had lots of them in her garden. This particular granny square is a tribute to her and her love for flowers.
